Stewed Lamb/Mutton - Tushenaya Barinina



6 Servings
2 lb lamb (or mutton lean &)
-Boned
2 T vegetable oil
1 T tomato paste
1 c cabbage,Shredded
1 onion med.,Sliced
2 carrots,Sliced
1 salt,To Taste
1 pepper,To Taste
2 garlic cloves,Minced
1/2 t cinnamon,Ground
4 potatos 1/2 cubes,Chopped
1 c green peas
2 c beef broth
1 sour cream


Cut meat into stew sized pieces and fry in the hot oil until browned along with the garlic and onion. Add the othere ingredients and 1 cup of the beef broth. Simmer until done. Add more broth if necessary. garnish with sour cream if you wish.
