Tea Biscuits


2 cups flour sifted
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp shortening
2/3 cup milk


1. Preheat oven to 450F.
2. Combine flour, banking powder and salt in bowl.
3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles small peas.
4. Add milk and stir together until mixture comes away from sides of bowl.
5. Put on a floured surface and knead for a few seconds.
6. Bake until golden brown (12 minutes).
