Olive Bread


  2 1/2 c  flour

    1/4 c  sugar

      3 t  baking powder

    3/4 t  salt

      1 c  milk

      1 lg egg

    1/4 c  butter,melted

      1 c  pimiento stuffed green


Preheat oven to 350.  Generously grease an 8" x 2" loaf pan.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  Blend thoroughly.   In

separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.  Pour egg

mixture into dry ingredients.  Beat until well moistened.  Stir in

olives.  Pour into pan and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, covering with

foil during last 10 minutes if necessary.  When toothpick comes out

clean, remove and let stand 10 minutes.  Turn out.
