1 stick oleo
1/2 c. Crisco
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt


Bring to a boil oleo, Crisco, cocoa and water. Mix flour, sugar and salt. Pour hot mixture over flour mixture and beat well.


2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda

Beat until smooth. Pour in greased and floured jelly roll pan.

FROSTING (Prepare 5 minutes before cake is done)
1 stick oleo
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa

Bring to a boil. Remove form heat.

Then add:

1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour frosting on cake while cake is hot.
