Iowa Corn Pudding



Ingredients:

• one 16 ounce can of cream style corn
• 1 cup of medium fine dry bread crumbs
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
• 4 ounces of sliced Cheddar cheese, cut in 1 1/2 inch squares
• 3 slices of bacon, cut in 1 1/2 inch lengths



Preparation:

Combine the cream style corn, bread crumbs, milk, salt and pepper, mix well. Pour mixture into a greased 10" x 6" x 2" baking dish. Arrange pieces of cheese and bacon alternately across the top in checkerboard fashion. Bake pudding at 325ºF. for about 1 - 1 1/4 hours or until tender.
