Cool Creamy Fruit Salad


1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 c. whipping cream or 2 c. whipped topping (Cool Whip)
2 c. peaches, sliced
2 c. blueberries
2 c. strawberries, sliced
2 c. grapes
2 tbsp. chopped nuts
1/4 c. powdered sugar


Combine cream cheese, juice and rind, mixing until well-blended. Beat whipping cream until soft peaks form; gradually add sugar. (No sugar if using Cool Whip). Fold into cream cheese mixture; chill. Layer fruit in 2 1/2 quart bowl. Spoon cream cheese mixture over fruit; sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Yield 8-12 servings.
