Breakfast Drop Biscuits


2 c. featherlite flour blend
1 T. double acting baking powder
1 t. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. milk

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2. Mix dry ingredients well. With pastry blender or fork; cut shortening into dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed but do not knead dough. Add 1 cup milk to the dry ingredients. I add about 1/4 to 1/2 c. more milk in order for the biscuits to be drop consistency

3. Drop mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Serve warm with favorite jams or butter blends.
