British Pancakes

Ingredients:

2 large eggs.
5 ounces (150g) of plain flour).
1/2 pint (300ml) of milk.
1/4 pint (150ml) of water.
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.


Preparation:

Sift the flour with the salt and form a well in the middle.

Break in the two large eggs and mix into flour thoroughly.

Add the milk and water, stirring until smooth.

Add the vegetable oil and allow to stand in a cool dry place for about 2 hours.

Lightly grease a suitably sized starsol frying pan.

Heat up the pan.

Cook 1 tablespoon of the batter at a time, spreading it evenly the pan.

Allow to cook for one minute, then loosen the edges and toss.

Cook for another minute on the other side, then serve as desired.
