Baked Pork Chops with Parmesan


1 1/2 cups Italian flavored breadcrumbs
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces)
1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 large eggs
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
4 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (each about 1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
Lemon wedges
Orange wedges


1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius)

2. Mix the breadcrumbs, cheese, sage, cumin, and lemon peel in pie dish

3. Whisk eggs in medium bowl to blend

4. Place flour on plate; season generously with salt and pepper

5. Coat pork chops on both sides with flour; shake off excess

6. Dip chops into the eggs, then coat on both sides with the breadcrumb mixture

7. Melt butter with oil in heavy large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat

8. Add pork chops to skillet and cook until golden brown, a proximally 2 minutes per side

9. Transfer the skillet with the pork chops to the oven

10. Bake about 20 minutes until the pork chops are crisp on the outside minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius)

11. Transfer the pork chops to plates, Garnish with lemon and orange wedges
