Bohemian Pork Chops


3 tbsp. cooking oil
6 pork chops
Salt and pepper
1/3 c. onion (chopped)
1 stalk celery (chopped)
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. water
1/8 tsp. savor salt
1 bay leaf
2/3 c. beer


Heat oil in heavy skillet. Brown pork chops. Remove from pan. Generously salt and pepper each chop. Saute onion and celery in remaining fat. Add flour, stirring until browned. Gradually add water, stirring until well blended. Add pork chops, monosodium glutamate, bay leaf. Simmer 20 minutes. Add beer and simmer 20 minutes. Serve hot.
