Garden Quiche


9 inch pie crust
1 c. chopped fresh or frozen broccoli
1 c. shredded natural Swiss cheese
1/2 can (3 oz.) french fried onions (1 c.)
4 eggs
2 c. whipping cream
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper


Sprinkle broccoli, cheese and onions in crust. Beat remaining ingredients with hand beater; pour over broccoli mixture. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce temperature to 300 degrees. Bake until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting and serving. Refrigerate any remaining quiche.
